hello, about 3-4 years ago i was a patient here at YBGR for about a year, i left with more trauma than i came in with. the men staff use their power for bad and would “restrain” us whenever they got the chance, restraining consisted of 4 or 5 grown men tackling and holding down little girls to a point we couldn’t breath and would have lots of bruises and sometimes cuts, i was even in there with a girl who lost both of her front teeth because they got knocked out during one of these restraints and they didn’t take her to the hospital or dentist for almost 24 hours. in the lodge i was in 2 staff members openly talked about how they were also strippers and another would bring us vapes and marijuana dab pens. there was another staff in a boys lodge who would do sexual favors for them as well. all of the staff members when i was there at the time were young adults 19-25 i would say and they always took advantage of their power over us, i’ve kept in contact with a couple girls i was there with and they told me they had to get help other places after this because of the trauma it caused them also. i was once choked out by a new male staff while we were alone in my room together, i am now about to be 20 and give birth to my first child and i still have night terrors of things that happened to me at this place. to any staff members who read this my name is emilee ellis and i know you will remember and i hope you remember all the terrible things you guys did.
