Community partners is a joke. I’ve been seeing them for a few months for mental health services. They hooked me up with Virginia Roper who is a Registered Psychiatric Nurse. Before seeing Community Partners, I was diagnosed with Schizophrenia at Portsmouth Hospital. Portsmouth Hospital reached out to Community Partners on my behalf as well as a few other places. Community Partners was quick to get me in there and hook me up with Dr. Roper. I’ve been seeing Dr. Roper for a few months and she does not believe I have anything wrong with me other than a little bit of anxiety. She claims I’m not Schizophrenic. My last visit will be my final dealings with Community Partners. Dr. Roper is condescending, narcissistic, and rude. She only sees you for 5-10 minutes and does nothing to benefit her patients. I was taking a medication called Zyprexa which was doing me wonders. I know it makes me gain weight. Dr. Roper completely took me off it and put me back on a medication that was doing me more harm than good. My symptoms of Schizophrenia have gotten much worse. She also is pushing me to see a therapist through Community Partners because she believes that when I get angry I lash out. That is not the case. By the time I got done seeing her after my last visit I was near tears. During my last visit I was already having an episode to begin with so I was hoping she would see that. No, she didn’t, the whole time she basically called me a fat antisocial loser with no friends and anger issues. Also gave me hell for not being able to keep an appointment with her therapist in which the therapist was supposed to call me and she didn’t. I don’t drive and my transportation is very limited. This past week has been the worst I’ve felt since before I went to the Portsmouth Hospital. To add salt to the wound I tried calling Community to tell them I’m done using their services, someone rudely picked up the phone and said “Goodbye” then slammed down the phone. I will not be returning to community partners. Dr. Roper does not work with her patients for their benefit. She does not care. That’s evident.
