My experience at 4 points has been amazing. The staff there genuinely care about your health. Everything I've ever needed has been provided and then some. The new building is beautiful. Their phone system is great. I've never been treated bad or judged based on appearance. Just overall the best medical attention I've received in my lifetime.

I’ve been a patient here for a while, and while it’s improved from its chaotic past, there are still some serious quirks. They’ve made positive changes recently, and most of the staff is professional. The best therapists are excellent—Talisha Bracken, for instance, is a standout who goes the extra mile—but they’re usually booked. If you don’t get someone like her, you might end up with a dud, like this one they won’t let go who doesn’t even know what ‘gaslighting’ means. Worse, some therapists here lean so heavily into their religion that they can’t see your perspective or understand basic psychology—they don’t believe people out there can do real harm, like gaslighting or worse, which is alarming. They’re now offering modern treatments like ketamine therapy, which is a plus, but to my knowledge, they still haven’t hired a full-time psychologist to manage certain medications some patients need, regardless of the company’s biases or beliefs—that’s a lingering gap. The front desk has an entitled staff member who handles patient evaluation scheduling and has always gossiped about patients and their families, which is unacceptable. It’s forbidden for any staff to speak openly about patients, no matter the circumstance, let alone the front desk, yet it still happens. Another ridiculous practice: if you don’t click with a therapist, you have to explain why to the manager and hope they agree to switch you. I’ve lived in cities where they let you change therapists without explanation—because you shouldn’t have to justify it—and I’ve never heard of anything as absurd as this. It’s better than it used to be, but these issues really drag it down.

Discovery Ranch is life changing and life saving! Our teenage daughter had been struggling for years with increasingly deeper levels of depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation and cutting. Despite years in therapy, she was withdrawn, unable to function in school and couldn't keep a friend. She had been hospitalized and had attended wilderness therapy, both of which were helpful, but she could not seem to stay on track. We were desperate and knew she needed more. We are now two weeks away from our daughter's graduation from DRS and are thrilled to say that our bright, talented, capable daughter is back! She is excited for her future and believes in herself, something we haven't seen since elementary school. She credits the staff and the program for steadily guiding her from phase to phase, building her confidence and helping her heal. She adores her therapist, is close with much of the staff, and has made friends. She can't wait to start back in school this fall and once again to be a great student! As parents, we have felt included every step along the way. Parent seminars have been invaluable in helping us all heal and move forward. I have enjoyed meeting other families and seeing the growth in all of the girls over the months, not only my own. The facilities are beautiful, the equine, performing arts, & adventure therapies add such fun diversity, and my girl has loved her calves. We have watched as our daughter has learned so much about herself, her struggles, and how to self-regulate. We will forever be grateful for the time our daughter has spent at Discovery Ranch, and can't wait to see what her future holds!
