I was here in may of 2022 and I thought it was a great facility, they were strict enough but not too strict to where I felt uncomfortable, the workers were all very nice and caring and made me feel a little better. The only people that didn’t feel good there were those who refused to listen to simple instructions and had to deal with security constantly. Meals are pretty good with lots of options, they have a Wii they allow you to play sometimes and we watch Disney plus and listen to appropriate music. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday we had activity therepy twice a day and saw the psychiatrist plus free time and school. On Wednesday and the Weekend we had a nap time instead of school and we had yoga on Wednesday instead of activity therepy but not on the weekends. The weekends were pretty boring with really no help. I talked to a psychiatrist over the phone on saterday but that was all. the thing I find very IMPORTANT to know is that they let me go before I was ready, I was in there for suicidal ideation along with other things but I still wanted to go home and die and had a plan to and they sent me home anyway even after having a breakdown and telling them that was what I was going to do. I do thing it’s a good facility but I wish the psychiatrist Brooke would Have listened more, she seemed to be the only one to not care about me and my feelings and just wanted to rush me out of there and she was making all the decisions on that not the actual doctor. If you kid does need somthing urgently I would recommend it because it was a non toxic facility.

The room was huge, converts from labor/delivery room to an actual inpatient room. My labor experience was not just amazing; it was truly memorable because of your kindness and support. I was already 6cm when I came but I did not feel any panic, it was chill and calm. I especially appreciated how the nurses created a fun and light atmosphere, even while I was experiencing labor pains. Nurses/Techs were always there, checking in on me (since I was not a caller) haha, making sure I have ice water/comfy. Also to Dr. Kenny, who delivered my baby with incredible gentleness and expertise. Thank you all for making this journey so beautiful. Shout outs to Kelsey, Rachel, Ashlie and all the nurses/techs who took care of us.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Missouri?
When comparing providers in Missouri, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Missouri?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Missouri?
Some listings in Missouri may include providers that offer substance use treatment alongside mental health services, depending on available provider data. Use the Core Services filter to search for specific service types, or browse facility detail pages to see the full list of services reported for each provider.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Missouri providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
