Mental Health Providers in Lexington, South Carolina

Had to stop seeing my therapist because she would quite literally cancel every other appointment. Not very helpful. Recently was supposed to have a psychiatrist appointment (back in November) but she has since twice rescheduled to next year. I definitely don't recommend this place, it's almost as if nobody actually cares and it's incredibly disappointing. I was also told I 'looked depressed' by nurse Dorian because I was wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants.. I went to that appointment because the medication they put me on (an antipsychotic) caused me to experience intense boredom (a common symptom). She did not believe me and insisted I was depressed instead because of how I looked? For someone who works in the mental health field you should know better than to tell somebody that, nor does depression have a 'look'.

My son had to attend counseling here in order to get back into school. A counselor told my son that it wasn’t mandatory to stay. When I would drop my son off, he would have one of his drug friends pick him up since the counselor told him he didn’t have to stay. This class was used as an excuse for him to go use drugs with his friends so we ceased counseling. Also as I sat in the lobby several people stated how many times they were ordered to get counseling here. It was a joke.
