A family member of mine was admitted here recently. She was there for a couple days and admitted to the emergency room after an incident. My family only learned she was taken to the emergency room because the emergency room contacted us, not Turning Point that was overseeing her care and drove her there. She was at the hospital for a week and we received no communication from Turning Point until they called us to ask what we wanted them to do with her belongings, as she was not being admitted back into their facility. Mind you, the conversation was led with the question of where we wanted her belongings sent, not a formal notification that she wasn’t being admitted back with an explanation why. I am disappointed and, quite frankly, appalled, that a facility would have such poor communication with families that are in an extremely vulnerable state of having a loved one admitted to a facility, and our situation was even more fragile because we, including the family member, were coming from out of state. I do not recommend this facility to anyone based on their unacceptable lack of communication with patients and their families.
