The program was very helpful for me. I grew a lot while I was there. I was one of the youngest participants to go there, and I was there with one of the groups of the best mentors, participants, and adventure coordinator. Since I’ve left and while I was there, a couple of the mentors and the adventure coordinator that I really connected with have left. I’m sure the program is still great, but your experience extremely depends on the group of mentors and participants that you are with. If I was stuck with a group of participants or mentors that I did not enjoy being around, I would be leaving a different review. It is all up to the community about making the space fun and therapeutic. Most of your time is spent with other participants and mentors because you only get to meet with your therapist once or twice a week. One thing that they don’t mention at first, or at least didn’t mention to me at first, was that most of the time transition programs are a next step after residential treatment. They are helpful for most people, but they also are an added cost and will not be helpful for some people. I did not go to a transition program, but I know people who are currently in one, and it has been helpful to them so far. I would recommend Confluence Behavioral Health if you think you will get along with the group of participants and staff.
