I used this place for couples counseling with a therapist named Maddison. She was incredibly unprofessional and called my husband outside of business hours and lied about it, then when addressed it was swept aside. I was the client, this was being billed through MY insurance as me the patient that was bringing someone in with me. She gave out information that I never signed a release for, them emailed me a cut off file to sign and date and just said it was for "updated information". I thoroughly regret signing this and sending it back but thankfully still have the email and will be seeing what can be done about this legally. Her practice was rug sweeping and "just don't talk about it". Seriously don't go here for mental health help.

My sister, Rhonda Kay Fike, was a long term, 30 year client of PHG in Romney, WV. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her mother, and two of the best employees PHG has. We have yet to receive a call or even a sympathy card from the Executive Director, Mike Landis, or Theresa Mowery, Day Treatment Coordinator, or Sharon Engle, Director of Developmental Disabilities. When you care more about the bottom line than the clients, you lose your ability to provide compassionate and meaningful care. My mother had to advocate for her daughter, when PHG implemented policies that were harmful and even dangerous to Rhonda's care. There was a telephonic meeting on October 31, 2022 in which my mother addressed her concerns regarding the reduction of staff ratios towards Rhonda and her roommate. My sister was blind and severely mentally challenged and her roommate was wheelchair bound. The ratio was one on one and reduced to two on one without notifying my mother, Rhonda's guardian. Ms. Teresa Mowery scoffed and heckled my mother during this meeting for asking a simple question regarding the care of her daughter. Ms. Mowery was completely unprofessional towards my mother and I was shocked that she was representing PHG in this manner. Her lack of communication caused a situation yo escalate that could have been handled professionally. The staff that my sister had, caring for her in her home, were beyond amazing and became our family. Their love for my sister showed in their dedication to their job. They deserve better than how PHG treats them and will forever be in our hearts. I wish I could say the same thing about the management side. When you mistreat your employees, don't care about your clients, and are lacking basic compassion, you are creating the opposite environment to flourish and succeed. My sister, Rhonda Kay Fike, was a beautiful soul. Too bad management was too blind to see that.
