I looked around for local ‘Doc-in-a-Box’ places to go to be seen by a doctor on a Saturday. Thankful that I found one right in front of my pharmacy. The waiting room was clean and almost empty. The receptionist was not welcoming & very hard to understand. Granted I don’t fault her for wearing a mask when working at a doctor’s office. I work in a school & maybe I should consider wearing a 😷 since ALL my students have runny noses 24/7 (but then they wouldn’t be able to understand me). I was a new patient so the registration was long & cumbersome on my iPhone. Thankfully the lady that took me back was sweet, kind & efficient. 3 nose swabs were done w/minor discomfort. The physician’s assistant was so sweet, kind & patient w/my questions. In all my years of doc visits no one has told me to be sure to get plenty of probiotics when taking an antibiotic. Highly recommend!

I had a deeply concerning experience with this facility. My father was sent here for behavioral issues that turned out to be a simple UTI—something that should have been tested for immediately but was overlooked in favor of heavy sedation. While here, his agitation and paranoia actually worsened, likely due to the medications they administered (including Ativan). The living conditions were unacceptable; patients were made to sleep in chairs in a single room simply so staff could monitor them all at once. Communication was a major hurdle. Visitation and phone rules are incredibly strict, and when I could get through, the background noise was so chaotic I couldn't even understand my father. I never felt properly informed about his treatment or status. My father deserved much more dignity and medical oversight than he received here. Please be very cautious before sending a loved one here (if you even have a choice, which I didn't).
