The facility had mold in the sink, which wasn’t addressed for a long time even though it was clearly a health concern. The pool, which is often used in ads and tours, was barely made available for use—it felt like false advertising. More importantly, the way serious situations among residents were handled often felt dismissive and unprofessional. People in emotional crisis were not supported properly, and accountability was often missing. Allowing people whose behavior was clearly not improving to affect others and get rewarded. It’s important to have patients manage those emotions themselves but there are things that can be done on their end to be more understanding and not allowing such behaviors to escalate.
