Honestly, not even worth 1 star. I've tried to tell them so many times that I don't feel comfortable with the therapist they have me assigned to. I've told them several times that I feel like I'm more attacked rather than validated when I have my sessions, I'm in his office for 30 minutes at MOST during sessions. I've tried to be assertive and explain that I do not feel listened to by this therapist and that his office does not feel like a "safe place" at all. I've also spoken to the director about this problem in January or February (can't remember) and was met with coldness and an unacceptable attitude and tone. I was told that Jason (therapist in question) was the "only therapist available for adults." Since then, I went to more sessions and STILL didnt like or feel comfortable with him or in his office and the Director (Angela) still continues to refuse my right as a CLIENT to solve the issue and make some changes. I've not been able to get scheduled with a different therapist at Spring River or a different provider completely since having to make a decision to stop going to therapy because, having Jason as my therapist has not been a good experience, and thats just to put it nicely. I spoke to the Med Provider the last time I saw them and they also agreed with my concerns and said that in their opinion, Jason is (to put it nicely) "not thorough" and "rushes through things." I tried to go BACK to Spring River Mental Health recently because I'm struggling a bit and need some extra support, and I requested to NOT have Jason be my designated therapist because of the experience I've had with him and now the fact that my ex is seeing him for therapy too. Once again, Angela has completely refused, denied, and blocked me of having ONE basic right as a client, safety, security, and my voice. I've tried calling her, it goes straight to voicemail. I've tried leaving voicemails, which have gone unanswered or not listened to at all, who knows? I have no other ideas on how to be listened to and heard and met with courtesy and professionalism. I need some extra support and Spring River Mental Health, especially Angela and Jason has made that increasingly difficult and now impossible.
