I came here just looking for a therapist I came to do intake paper work they asked if this was court order if I had any cases ECT ECT I said no and she was like I just have to ask you don’t understand the crazy that we see. When she ask why I was there I told her I was just looking to find a therapist I could see regularly and it was recommended by another professional therapist i go to but only once a month . The front desk lady said my insurance would probably not cover two therapist they weren’t for sure had to check the women was so rude and seemed like me being there was a bother even just asking the regular questions before there was ever any question of insurance then she said if we see you and your insurance doesn’t pay you gonna be able to pay? the exchange was so just uncomfortable I just told her that the professional that recommended me to come here said this place was on approved list of my insurance. At this point I repeatedly told her to just cancel it was fine I was sorry but she still got up to go talk to some one in the back and check she went behind a door and I could hear her and the other lady talking about my insurance probably won’t cover it and mockingly the front desk women clear as day was like Yeah I know I already told her that. So then the I guess higher up person opened the door and was like come back here and I just felt like a child being lead to principal office she was gonna have me repeat what I had told the women upfront but I just told her to cancel the appointment because I just felt like I came here for help and was met with no empathy or compassion or anything except the women who ran my id and insurance card she could tell I was uncomfortable and at least asked me how my day was I just think as a place dealing in mental health the least I could have been met with is simple kind way of saying my insurance policy wasn’t accepted here
