My son has been suffering from severe mental issues for the past 3 years. None of the “professional” help I’ve sought out helped until I took him to GLMHC. They gave him the counselling and medication needed to overcome many of his problems. It’s still a work in progress, but he’s much better now. Just wanted to say thank you to the GLMHC team!

Grand Mental Health helped me! The staff ARE NOT OVERPAID! The Staff have their hands full and if you don't think so, be there for a week like I was and find out for yourself. I have tremendous respect for the Staff at the Pryor, OK. facility. While there, I thought to myself, the Staff were having to provide *BABYSITTING SERVICES for ALL of these people! Several threw temper tantrums, broke things, screamed and hollered like a misbehaved child. I thought too *what happened in your childhood that made you this way?" So SOME of you parents who want to find fault in Pryor's Mental Health Facility, you should actually be owning up to how much damage you probably did to make these young people the way they are today. I'm 69 years old, I had myself checked in for help, I was treated with the utmost respect by all staff and nurses there. I remain sober to this day and I want to THANK PRYOR MENTAL HEALTH FOR ALL THEY DID FOR ME. I want to ESPECIALLY THANK BRIAN AND BRETT AND THE NURSES...Peace & Love to all at Pryor Mental Health Staff & Nurses. You ALL saved my life. Thank you All again.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Oklahoma?
When comparing providers in Oklahoma, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Oklahoma?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Oklahoma?
Some listings in Oklahoma may include providers that offer substance use treatment alongside mental health services, depending on available provider data. Use the Core Services filter to search for specific service types, or browse facility detail pages to see the full list of services reported for each provider.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Oklahoma providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
