The front desk receptionists are pretty rude and uninviting. Some of the staff laughed at me because I got the appointment date wrong, I'm sorry that I have mental health issues and I'm struggling, but yeah keep laughing.

Being at Newport Port Townsend residential was a great experience for me. I went there at a deep, dark, and sad time in my life, and my time there was great. The thing that had the most impact on me was the staff. All of the staff at Newport Port Townsend really cared. None of them got on my nerves too much and a few really made my stay amazing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I compare mental health providers in Washington?
When comparing providers in Washington, consider location relative to where you live or work, the specific services offered, levels of care available (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, or inpatient), therapy approaches used, conditions treated, hours of operation, whether a website is available, accreditation status, and reviews when listed. Not all details are available for every provider, so it can help to check each facility listing directly.
What should I ask before contacting a provider in Washington?
Before reaching out to a provider, it helps to know what you are looking for. Consider asking about current appointment availability, accepted insurance plans and self-pay or sliding-scale options, whether telehealth appointments are offered, which specific services are currently active, and whether the provider has experience treating your particular concern. Availability and services can change, so confirming details directly with the facility is recommended.
Are all services listed on Mental Health US available at every facility?
No. Services vary by facility and may change over time. The information shown in each listing reflects what was available when the record was created or last updated. Always confirm current service availability, hours, and intake procedures directly with the provider before visiting or calling.
Can I find both mental health and substance use treatment providers in Washington?
Some listings in Washington may include providers that offer substance use treatment alongside mental health services, depending on available provider data. Use the Core Services filter to search for specific service types, or browse facility detail pages to see the full list of services reported for each provider.
What if I cannot find the right provider in my city?
If you do not find a suitable provider in a specific city, try broadening your search by browsing all Washington providers using the statewide view, or use the filter dropdowns to search by condition treated, therapy type, or level of care without entering a specific city. You can also browse nearby city pages to see providers in surrounding communities.
