Alaysa Thygersen is a new NP at the Euclid office in the San Diego location. I WOULD GIVE HER ZERO STARS IF I COULD... I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent appointment. Despite my current COVID-19 diagnosis and debilitating weakness, the provider insisted I undergo a chest X-ray for "shortness of breath" and "possible pneumonia"—symptoms I explicitly stated I am not experiencing. My actual clinical presentation consisted of severe flu-like symptoms, including extreme fatigue, body aches, and debilitating headaches. The provider refused to issue a necessary work excuse unless I completed this office visit, disregarding my need for rest and my actual symptoms. As a professional with 13 years of tenure at my job, I find this lack of patient-centered care and clinical intuition unacceptable. This approach prioritizes rigid protocols over the patient’s well-being and clear feedback. Furthermore, I have noted that this provider has only been a licensed Nurse Practitioner for four years, having received her license in 2022. Now, in 2026, it is clear that her current diagnostic approach and lack of professional bedside manner are lacking; at the rate she is going, she will never reach the level of a medical doctor (MD). In my view, anyone seeking medical care should look for a different professional; I certainly would not put my life in her hands. I will be seeking a new provider who values a collaborative relationship and respects patient autonomy. I hope this feedback serves as a stern reminder of the need for improved communication and a more nuanced diagnostic approach
