10 years ago I would have given 5 stars but things went very downhill at La Cheim. First, most of the good therapists / staff they had either quit, retired or moved onto something better and now what's left is a couple of the good people who didn't leave and a bunch of cold, uncaring, unprofessional and unorganized new staff. Dr. Beckerman retired unfortunately, he was the best! He has been replaced by Amanda Morrison who should definitely not be working in the mental health field...or working with people at all in any capacity. She's horrible, cold, uncaring and that's IF she gets back to you.... I left a voicemail that never got returned, so I tried again, still no return call and I tried a final time and finally heard back 2 months after that the way she talked to me and treated me, I don't even think she should be a janitor in the building... she shouldn't be around people, especially people dealing with mental health issues... she needs to go! I truly can't believe that out of all the potential people who could have taken Dr. Beckerman's place they chose her... ?! Hiring a patient would have been a smarter move. I mean, no one could ever replace Dr. Beckerman, but they could have at least chosen someone to take over who is semi nice and professional who at least cares a tiny bit about her job and other people in general. I don't know much about a lot of the other new people they have there but I really hope Ed, Noam and Lorna are still there... they were the last few good ones La Cheim had left last time I checked. Without Dr. Beckerman, Ed, Noam and Lorna I can't imagine there being anything good about La Cheim anymore, especially with Amanda there.
