I wouldn’t recommend this program for treatment if you have a complex disorder of any sort- including severe anxiety disorders, neurodivergency (ADHD, autism, etc.), or even personality disorders. I majored in psychology and many of the “suggestions” I’ve received as a patient were counterproductive and outright harmful for the disorders that I experience. I had an occupational therapist assigned to my team ask me if I just wanted to “collect labels” or legitimately be productive when explaining the obstacles caused by my conditions, because they ASKED about what my struggles were to begin with. My intention was not to “make excuses”; I would not have asked for an occupational therapist in the first place if I didn’t sincerely want to work past the obstacles created by these disorders. Even though I found this really rude and disrespectful, what I’m truly frustrated about is the idea that someone else seeking out the same support would have to deal with this- because it could cause so much harm to someone in a vulnerable place.
