Wish I could give zero stars. The hospital is nice, but the staff couldn't be bothered. My 70 yo mother was admitted here for a broken shoulder yesterday, April 3rd, and then transferred to OKC overnight for cancer they found before the surgery. While here visiting, I noticed that there is absolutely no intention for any type of bedside manner. First, my sister noticed a lot of blood coming from moms hand, and went out to get help. The young woman came in exclaiming "it's just her IV, stop freaking out!" It was a lot of blood, but we weren't freaking out. We were trying to get help. Then, we closed the door to speak privately about how to move forward with cancer treatment because she isn't really wanting to go through chemo again. She's tired. They told us the door needed to stay open and my sister simply asked "even with us in here?" and she responded "yeah, you guys aren't nurses." Same woman, same nasty attitude. While she may be right that we aren't nurses, since when does medical staff treat people with such short, petty, jabs? I've never seen anything like it. It seems like it would have been an appropriate time to explain that she's a "fall risk" or that she needed to be gawked at from the nurses station for some other reason. We were just asking for a few minutes of privacy in a stressful situation. And if it weren't for the emotional fragility of my mother and 10 year old daughter, I would've read her for filth because that's what she was acting like. Thankfully, the unit in OKC that she was transferred to has been a lot better. Not a single member of my family will be visiting this hospital again unless we absolutely cannot help it. Shame on you guys for making and already incredibly emotionally hard time for my family even harder. I'm disgusted.
