I’m rating one star over the front desk the only woman at the front desk was nice was Ellen that was very nice and understanding but, when it came to other people. They made my anxiety much worse then what it was. It caused me to stop going and to stop trying to get help because, some of them were so rude they cause me to have a panic attack in the office. My councilor was great but, the front desk just made me have more anxiety and more depression just dealing with that alone. I really hope someone starts to monitor the way they talk to people.

When the Behavior Health Service of Virginia first started providing services I was so grateful amazed at how much help they were... my husband got really sick after about 8 months into the program. He had to have 7 surgeries in 6 months so BHOVA disgured me because I couldn't see the therapist as much as required. I had no issues with that. However. Back in August of 2021 I became really ill with a bone infection. I spent 8 days in a hospital room within a room and could not leave my room because of the infection. After that I had 8 weeks of infusions. It has taken until January before I was released from my doctor's to do minor things. I called back to see if I could get back into the program, I knew I needed support more than ever. I called the office 6 times in a month and never heard back from anyone. Everyone said that Shawn would call me to talk to me but he never did. I reached out to my therapist from there and she never returned my call. This is not how a behavior health program should operate. I lost my little boy this past week and with everything else I needed i mental help for my mental health but I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY INFORMATION AT ALL. Shawn and Tyler both think that by not responding to someone in crisis is the answer. Darius the director should be ashamed. Thesis the reason mental health is on a decline. The services do not respond. This has added more stress and I needed help. The lack of communication between Shawn and Tyler are discouraging and is totally uncalled for in the mental health field.
