I was here in October of 2024, and when I left I swore to myself I would never return to any place like it.

they deserve zero stars. I have despised this practice since I was referred here over a year ago. They’re so disorganized, receptionist is rude, no one answers the phone, you can’t cancel your appointment on my chart, and have to call, but no one answers the phone. Today was the icing on the cake. I’ve had a payment plan set up with Sentara for years, however, today I find out that this specific office sent a bill to collections that is being paid in my current payment plan. The office could have mentioned it to me at any anytime before sending it to collections. I keep up with my bills and I’ve never had anything in collections .It was not even $50 so I would’ve paid it immediately or showed them it was included in my payment plan had I known they thought it was owed. They don’t actually help with any of your issues. All they do is prescribe medicine so they can get kickbacks. You are literally just an appointment and $$$$. All they do is increase your meds and then make you schedule another appointment so they can get more money . If you care about getting better at all, do not go here.

I had a wonderful experience at Tidewater Psychotherapy Services. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was welcoming, professional, and kind, which immediately made me feel at ease. I saw Dr. Yongbing “Larry” Pu, MD, and he was absolutely excellent. He took the time to listen carefully, made me feel heard, and provided thoughtful guidance without rushing the process. His professional yet compassionate approach gave me a lot of comfort and confidence moving forward. I highly recommend Tidewater Psychotherapy Services and Dr. Pu to anyone looking for genuine, attentive care.
