Shawnee Behavioral health is a joke. Waiting months for an appt to be told it was cancelled over a phone call I had to make to them is ridiculous. Then to be told that they are scheduled 3 months out is even more ridiculous. You all should be ashamed of yourself and the way you handle patients. I called integrated health in Carterville and they got me in 3 days after I called. I don't not recommend the behavioral health services at Shawnee. Disgusting.

If I could give less than one star I would. My daughter died last year and I now have ptsd. I tried to get therapy from centerstone. Twice now they put me with a therapist who didn't do therapy. They only chatted about mundane things. No use of any modalities or styles of therapy. My last therapist was Katina Bean. She called me and I finally asked her if we could begin therapy since we've had many sessions and haven't begun yet. At this point she became angry. She said "we've been doing therapy". I asked her what kind. She said CBT. I asked her for one example. She declined to answer. She then said "we weren't a good fit" and that I was making excuses. I had her on speaker phone also and I have a witness to the entire conversation. I then asked her to name one excuse. She mentioned how I said I couldn't afford things. I said "yes I'm poor. I cannot afford a vacation or to travel". I told her that it really hurt me that she accused me of making excuses. She then said "I never said that, you did". I wish I had recorded the call. My witness and I will both be making a complaint but I'm sure they will just protect their therapist and do nothing for me. So kind to be traumatized by a therapist who was supposed to help me with trauma. I guarantee I'm not the first client she has done this to and I won't be the last.
