I love Dr Mary Holbrook , she understands the difference between a reaction to a traumatic event VS true mental health issues that need intervention. Been with her for maybe 4 years now and I have such a good experience with her that if I moved I’d still see her and if she left I’d try to go where she goes. She is truly amazing. My only complaint about this office is one of the nurses sounds a little new and unfamiliar with lesser known med side effects and instead of sending me to somebody who knew she kind of made me feel like an idiot for asking my question. But that’s neither here nor there, Mary’s radiant love for helping the community overshadows anything negative I may have ever had to say about this place.

They allow their patients to have full phone access to call and threaten anyone they want. Even calling 23 times in a row. Is there really no one that supervises the phone when there is yelling, screaming, swearing, and threats occurring? Please do better.

yeah yeah

I have only gone to MPA for about 3 months but i promise you that i will never come back. I had Tracey as a therapist who apparently deals with children and family problems. Every session i have gone to she has always made me feel uncomfortable. Well today was the last straw for me. i am 17 years old and i was talking to her about family problems. she then interrupted me and told me i should stop talking about my abusers because it won’t change anything. I have also been going through gender services to transition. I was talking to her about my struggles as a trans person and how i feel its to the point i can’t express myself and on the fence about just staying in the closet. She responded by telling me many people staying in the closet their whole lives and it is an option to do. I also have a girlfriend of 2 years who recently moved in with me because of family issues. Tracey told me that “It doesn’t sound realistic that your parents allowed her to stay. Did you even talk about it with them?” For a matter of fact my parents welcomed my girlfriend with open arms into our house. The worst part of it all was about 30 mins through i couldn’t deal with being targeted by someone who is supposed to help me. I told her i was going to leave and she told me all my mental services including gender services will be shut off if i leave. She shouldn’t be working with family problems if she can’t handle it.
