I sat with my daughter who was in tremendous pain due to kidney stones. She was in horrible pain The lack of empathy and care for her as a patient was clear. The ignoring behavior of the nurses and medical team felt prejudice. Were we not dressed nice enough? Were we not friendly enough going through the challenge of dealing with pain?
