I honestly don't know if I can really say anything good about this place. My husband was hospitalized for a mental health crisis and a crisis intervention team from CIBH showed up at the hospital to talk to him. We received a bill a few weeks later that didn't have our insurance applied so we were able to get a hold of someone to give our insurance information. Fast forward a few weeks and we see that the insurance was billed out of network instead of in network (even though the hospital was an in network provider). We both tried reaching out multiple times to the billing department and would only get the voicemail. We never received any call back. After many attempts to get the bill corrected either through CIBH or insurance, we finally got transferred to a supervisor after stating that the billing department never calls back. THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART. We were informed that since no payment was received within 90 days, the account was sent to collections. We received absolutely no notice about this or any kind of warning that accounts are sent to collections after 90 days of no payment. No warning on a bill, no final notice, no phone call. Just straight to collections. Again, we were trying to get the bill corrected, we weren't just not paying a bill. This is a place that treats people during a mental health crisis. They should absolutely NOT be sending people to collections the way they do with no notice. If one mental health crisis wasn't enough for you, try dealing with their joke of a billing department and you may end up having another mental health crisis. I cannot stress enough how unethical their billing and collections practices are.
