I, myself have not had a good experience AT ALL with the transitional living aspect. I moved to Ohio from Florida to come specifically to this program as it was referred to me..was told that they care about their residents getting their lives back in order..they want to help you get on your feet, i can have my kids visit, 2 months free rent, you can make payments on rent..I was so impressed obviously rent is much cheaper here than it is in FL. I thought I'd really be getting my life back on track and felt worthy in life again..I was currently residing at the Wilmington location for not even 90 days until today and my house manager says that i have to leave by Monday, and this is at 11:45am on Friday. Less than 70 hours notice? While looking at the website im upset because it says they offer HELP with housing..kicking residents out to the streets is not on that website. Should I be treated like this, ESPECIALLY because I havent broken any rules? Just because complaints from another resident saying that it isnt fair that I live there. Me coming to Ohio alone without my whole sober support system isn't as important to you guys just because girls are being girls and just bitching? Very unprofessional. Transitional houses in Florida will actually move you to another house location if conflict arises. Not kick you to the ground like this.. but, also in FL you arent allowed to stay in your PJS all day either..so here is a big thank you to the Talbert house..a warning or notice would've really been more professional and extremely appreciated 👍
