Inpatient & Outpatient Mental Health Treatment Center
Food was great, nurses were great (especially second shift). There was one incident where an agency nurse was extremely aggressive and I reported her to the other nurses on-site. Needless to say, that was her first and last day there. The prompt response from the on-shift nurses was appreciated as they set the tone for a healthy environment. As a Veteran, I’ve found myself struggling with my mental health over the past few years. Unfortunately, I didn’t put much attention into getting the help I needed at the time. I’m proud to say that I am on the right medication and I want to thank every single one of the staff members at this facility. They go above and beyond for their patients. I hope they are being paid what they deserve, if not more.

Search this term: Texas mental health care ranking. I dare you! Texas is THE WORST (dead last) state for mental health care and Bell County is ranked lower end of the middle, with a #14 HPSA score. Due to inept funding... CCS is overwhelmed by case load, insufficient staffing and red tape to justify anything more than Chemically lobotomizing the majority of those whom need (and will never recieve) therapy!
