I started the DBT PHP intensive outpatient at Rogers behavioral health in Brown deer Wisconsin. At first the care team there seem to be very nice professional and very compassionate and helping me to learn coping skills and dealing with anxiety and depression. But as soon as I had voiced my concern about a therapist who was not allowing me to speak in group not once but twice then the whole dynamic of compassion from the care team had changed. Additionally I had some things that I had to address outside of the clinic that prohibited me from being in group in person so I had to join ask for permission to attend group virtually, then that became a discrepancy, and I started receiving nasty emails that I couldn't attend group sessions virtually.The therapist, Holly Heuer the clinic supervisor, Michelle Skerhow and the nurse practitioner, Colleen Del Fava of the DBT PHP/IOP program at the Brown Deer location, all turned against me and agreed to discharge me 10 days before my initial discharge date. They didn't even allow me to continue the program at Brown Deer until I was accepted at the West Allis location.

This experience has made it less likely that I’ll seek help in the future. Most times I felt like I was being warehoused with little meaningful things to do or direction to work towards. Most of the discussion and material was very superficial and lacked the mapping and meaning someone has to do to integrate the information it into repertoire. Class was full of distractions and conversations often rambled off of topic and meandered.
