The lady Tracey … that answers at the front desk, will not allow you to speak. Over talks every time you try and get a syllable out and only hears half of what you’re saying. She will follow up with , “Does that make sense?” No Tracey, you don’t make sense! You have to listen and be patient with the family checking on their loved ones. I assure you, after a few minutes with this woman, you question if you made the right decision about placing a loved one here. There has to be better options in Griffin. Extremely frustrating!!

I’ve been taking to Brighter Tomorrows for a while now and have recently started taking my son as well. He sees Mr. Aaron and he has had nothing but great things to say after visits! Aaron has been a big help with my son and he’s always super nice. Like I said, we’ve been going to Brighter Tomorrows for a good while now and haven’t had a bad experience yet!

Brought in against will for despiteful reasons and was treated as if I had mental issues and put in waiting rooms with people that had severe issues. I heard everything these people had going on mentally, one girl was talking to a nurse in another room about something she did to a dog, I mean absurd and HIPAA violations for sure. The lady at the front desk signed my initials on computer documents I couldn’t even see, another HIPAA violation and very illegal thing to do! I heard people yelling in the back and they said oh they are just watching football, the whole experience was such a traumatizing experience. Staff were rude when asking questions about being there, they didn’t want to be bothered at all, threatening me saying that will make me have to stay. I had no idea of the process (which I asked multiple times) and kept being called to different people not knowing what’s next. They brought a lunch that looked disgusting while I was waiting, didn’t even ask people their likings. The lady said “did you not see the sign out front that said Pinewoods? This is Pinewoods hunny!” I said no I didn’t with the way I was brought in and she said well you will just be hungry and I said I sure will, thanks but I work too hard for that! There is a big guy that sits in the hall way monitoring these people and he thinks he is perfect on his throne with the looks he gives and the attitude. Absolutely rude staff all around at a scary dull place! The staff act as if they need to work in a prison, not with mental patients, I feel bad for admitted patients willingly there or not. Thankfully the doctor saw no fit and released me immediately. Do better Pinewoods!
