I stayed at Good Shepherd from Dec 2024–Feb 2025, and it’s the most unprofessional, unsafe recovery program I’ve ever seen. Leadership is controlling, religiously coercive, and outright dishonest. They mocked residents’ faiths, forced church attendance in their double-wide trailer, and restricted us to $20 cash per week. For months there was no house manager—illegal under THOR rules—and they locked residents out entirely. They’ve hired staff who falsified drug tests, taken no responsibility for their actions, and allowed obviously relapsed addicts to hang around the property. Therapy was a joke—confidential details were openly shared, residents were harassed, and personal information was weaponized for punishment. Daily life meant hours of pointless monitored classes, unpaid labor, and mandatory “anonymous” meetings where privacy didn’t exist. This place is crooked, controlling, and dangerous. Avoid it at all costs.
