Was referred here for therapy. They stuck me in a group, with a blend of psychologically ill people, did some awkward "team building" exercises where we shared our concerns/issues, one guy was mad that his wife no longer approved of his girlfriend? (I was there for depression) The therapists supervising offered no help what so ever, no coping skills, just a sheet with a prayer/promise to a higher power.

I was admitted to Old Vineyard 4 years ago for opiate addiction. I was inpatient for 8 days and outpatient for about 12 weeks total, by zoom meetings because of covid. The staff there is wonderful and truly helpful. I am clean and sober for 4 years now and I feel like a new person. Mr. John who worked on my floor was so helpful to me, I'll never forget him. They were all so kind because I was 61 years old and it was tough. They worked with me and gave me my life back. A lot of people never see the other side of opiate addiction, I had been on opiate treatment from my doctors since 1994. I'm very thankful that I made it to the other side and am no longer a slave to opiates. Thank you to all the staff at Old Vineyard who worked with me and were so kind and helpful. I am grateful to have a normal life again!! It's absolutely amazing!!!

On 3/8, my child who was recently diagnosed with ADHD was apparently combative and violent toward the therapists. His wrists were held from behind and arms were tightly crossed against his chest. This prevented him from releasing carbon dioxide which resulted in him going unconscious. I was called after he had awakened and returned to normal. However, EMS wasn’t called. I did not receive an incident report nor was I notified of his vital signs after being taken. Gabriela told me that he had gone unconscious twice, but Mary says once. I asked for video surveillance of the incident but Mary stated that there are no cameras in the swamp room. She also stated that I was given a “verbal incident report.” These people are shady and covering up what they did to my child so much so that because of what I mentioned to the lady who called me today about a grievance being filed, effective today, my child is being discharged because “I don’t feel comfortable.” That’s a decision I should make as an upset mother trying to process this whole situation. Furthermore, why would I feel comfortable if my child was made unconscious at the hands of the people who are supposed to protect him and say they are equipped to deal with children with behavioral issues? When I spoke with Mary yesterday, she kept fast talking and repeating herself. She also mentioned something about my son “zoning out” when that was something that should’ve been mentioned prior to Friday’s incident. I guess she was suggesting absence seizures which my child doesn’t have. I have a video of my child mentioning that he was held and could not breathe. I will now be conducting my own investigation.","source":"Unknown"}],"image":"https://images.unsplash.com/photo-1600427652630-f97cc4db10cd?auto=format&fit=crop&q=80&w=1600","accredited":"Accredited & Licensed by NC DHHS","youtube":"https://www.youtube.com/atriumhealthwakeforestbaptist","_mapped":true},{"id":"ChIJBS1Mz5SwU4gR3TyZr0bsfWc","name":"Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist MHS","slug":"atrium-health-wake-forest-baptist-mhs","address":"791 Jonestown Road","city":"Winston Salem","state":"NC","zip":"27103","phone":"(336) 716-4551","website":"https://www.wakehealth.edu/locations/clinics/m/mhs-jonestown-road?utm_source=GMB&utm_medium=Organic&utm_campaign=AHWFB","hours":"Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday: Closed, Sunday: Closed","description":"Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Mental Health Services, located on Jonestown Road in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, offers expert psychiatric and behavioral health care for individuals of all ages.
