Mental Health Providers in Exton, Pennsylvania

I came here years ago and only for a few months before deciding not to come back— the male therapist I spoke to clearly isn’t very well versed about how to speak to autistic patients or in general to female patients, especially those who are SA survivors. He attempted to question my autism I am actually diagnosed with (since childhood!) and spend a session with me nitpicking my autism traits comparing them to the traits in the DSM. When I wasn’t even seeing him for help with autism. Yet he stated suspecting I had borderline personality disorder, which nothing wrong with those who have that but I have never been diagnosed with that by anyone else nor has anyone else suggested I had it. But he couldn’t believe I have autism which I have an actual diagnosis of! Oh and he also asked if I truly believe my sexuality (as a queer woman) is legitimate or if I just believed in it because of being SA’ed by my first boyfriend (which I had told him about, but again, also not what I was even seeing him for) 🙃

Horrible place for neurodivergent folks. Tell them your triggers upfront as a survivor of Applied Behavioral Analysis, they ignore you and begin plastering them at the front of group discussion. You make them aware, they tell you to ignore them. It's like posting concepts from "pray the gay away", but for autism.

I honestly can’t thank yall enough for the support, care, and guidance they’ve given me during one of the most difficult periods of my life. From the moment I reached out, I felt heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. The therapists here created a safe environment where I could be open without judgment, and that made a huge difference in my healing and growth. They helped me develop healthier ways to cope, understand myself better, and regain hope when I really needed it most. THEY HAVE YOGA integrated with our sessions. What stands out most is how compassionate and dedicated and understanding everyone is. You can tell they truly care about the people they help, not just professionally but personally. I’m incredibly grateful for the impact this organization has had on my life, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for support, understanding, and real help.
