Mental Health Providers in Brookline, Massachusetts

Went to the Brookline Center for group therapy for about a month and a half. It wasn't a good fit for me, but the therapeutic aspects of the center weren't an issue. What was an issue was them telling me (over a recorded voicemail) that the services would be covered by my insurance, only to later backtrack and charge me directly, as they are not actually contracted or in network with my insurance at all. They told me my insurance is hard to work with and complicated. Even if that is true, maybe don't make promises you can't uphold? I paid them to resolve the issue, but I cannot support that kind of practice.

They lost my liver blood work, and didn’t notify me for 3 days causing me to have to stay another night. 3:00 afternoon med not given till 4:20. Social worker: finds a PCP- faxes over all my private medical records- I live in Ma. This PCP was in Wisconsin, great.. Social worker: I will confirm with your husband that he’s picking you up. He never heard from her. Social worker: I will call your therapist/med provider to set up an appt before you leave, they never heard from her. She gave me a phone number to an IOP, no real follow up on that. They lost my suitcase- par for the course. The floor staff was amazing 10 out of 10. Food was good! I have never witnessed a bigger un organized mess from the nurses and nurse/NP. Got a call at home the day of my discharge saying that a Monday - Friday 9-3 partial was a set for me to attend starting Monday. What, this was never discussed with me at all. The partial was an hour from my home. Showers were not mandatory and the place stunk.
