For the Boston Location on 1500 dot Ave. . Horrible, invasive, cruel, and insensitive. If you're disabled and homeless, do not trust them. They will lead you astray. I am a new first responder with high functioning ADHD, depression, PTSD and a history of being abused, robbed and assaulted by people and shelters. I do not have a support system and was refered to (dumped onto) this agency via DMH. The staff really dropped the ball on me in terms of housing following an eviction I had went through due to a horror story of a roomate and job loss. Their shared indipendent low income apartments they offer are barely habitable, the residents they do have in those programs are not safe individuals who break rules and sublet the apartments illegally, harboring strangers, keeping children over that they are not supposed to have custody over. Staff knowingly allowed these things to occur, as well as the hygine of the buildings, not good or safe. I witnessed a male barely clothed walking around the messy apartment, looking at me in disgust on our tour. I did not feel safe with that male there. The staff member who toured the apartment with me claimed she had no idea who that was, which was even worse. That did not bode well for my safety as a female with a history of being a victim of DV, and assaulted by many people. I had been trying hard and being cooperative up until they started chastising me for my savings that I have from selling my broken vehicle, savings that will go towards back rent and vehicle repair debt I owed to others. So I won't even have my own money anyways. They combed through my bank account and were asking about every single little deposit, from private belongings I have sold on craigslist, to several month old unemployment checks I had recieved and then was no longer qualified to have. Constantly asking me for proof of a job that I had been fired from due to injury and illness from roughly 5 months ago, while I repeatedly explained to them that I had just gotten a new job as a first responder. They told me to go "buy a hotel room" and "go to a shelter" and were irrate with me for explaining I cannot afford a hotel, and I refuse to go to a shelter because I am a young female who has been sexually assaulted and robbed in homeless shelters before, I am incredibly afraid of that experience again and they were not sensitive to this fact at all. They told me to "prioritize housing" and leave my job early to get into a shelter's curfew... (I cannot, I am a first responder who must work a certain number of hours. Leaving early is patient abandonment.) The clientele I have seen revolve through here have always been devastated when Baycove could not do anything to help them, I witnessed a woman with her belongings in a trash bag repeatedly say "she cannot afford the low income apartment they put her in" so she had to go back to north carolina. I wish I had run away sooner. Do not trust them with your life. They are a strained resource and cannot get their act together. 12/16/25, To update a month later, I am still homeless. They held a "group meeting" with me where they criticized me for even having a small savings at all, once again, one of the staff smiled when I mentioned I refused a homeless shelter due to my past of being sexually assaulted, and then argued with me saying I am difficult for refusing a homeless shelter. They still cannot help me. They said there are no other shared apartments to put me in and have stopped returning my calls. They have effectively abandoned me. I am still homeless. FYI, they typically prioritize violent mentally ill substance using male clients who slam tables & demand to see case workers, if you have an appointment be prepared for some volatile dangerous homeless males to forcibly demand your appointment slot and be prepared for the staff to allow and enable that dangerous behavior from those unhygenic scary drug abusing clients over you. Even if you take a day off from work to go seek help. They prioritize the worst clients over you. Run.
